Richard Calvert from Worthing Life Guard Corps was presented with a prestigious Certificate of Commendation from the Royal Life Saving Society at Worthing Aquarena.

He said: "Its really pleasing to be awarded the commendation. Its quite a rare honour so I'm very happy to have it."
Worthing Life Guard Corps president Reg Blackwell, who made the presentation, said: "the club is very proud of Richard's achievement.
It is the first time anyone from the club has received such an honour."
