History...

Lifesaving in Crawley started as a section of Crawley Swimming Club in 1964 and became independent from the Club with its first night in the pool as Crawley Town Lifesaving Club in August 1972. The Club shared the pool time with the Sub Aqua Club where they had the bottom of the pool and the Life Saving Club had the surface. This association continued for a number of years until it was financially viable for both Clubs to hire the pool separately for their 1 hour periods.

The Club is affilliated to the Royal Life Saving Society UK and The Surf Lifesaving Association of Great Britain.

The club uses K2 Crawley as their base and train there each Tuesday evening in the 50 metre pool and in the summer months additional training takes place in open water at Southwater Country Park on some Mondays and Thursdays.
