Ponds Forge - Sheffield

This years championships were held on Saturday. Of particular note should be the excellent team spirit in the SE camp.

The regional team put out a good performance in the SERC Incident event. However a hiccup in the middle gave them a problem which whilst they recovered well was not enough to put them in the medals. Our final position was 10th in this event. (Scotland won with 158 points we gained 123.8 points).

Balcony attendance was low which reflected on the atmosphere of the event.

Neil Woods - Gold Line Throw, Silver overall
Maureen Fakely - Gold Line Throw, Silver Overall
John Stainer - Gold Aquatic initiative, gold line throw, gold overall

All SE competitors came in the top ten in the UK. All competitors tried their very best with a lot of PB's gained in the speed events.

Everyone enjoyed the event, and 34 of us enjoyed a Chinese meal to round of an excellent event. All competitors and supporters were a credit to the SE Region.
