National Beach Lifeguard Qualification
The Beach Lifeguard is deemed to be responsible for safety at open water sites either inland or at coastal, surf, river and estuarial locations. The National Beach Lifeguard Qualification is the ultimate award for staff requiring competence for the safety of those using an open water location for recreational purposes. The award reflects the criteria laid down in Safety on Beaches and Safety at Inland Sites.Emergency Response – Activity Supervisors
Supervising programmed activities requires a unique combination of lifesaving skills appropriate to this special teaching and coaching environment. Emergency Response – Activity Supervisors, emphasises the recognition of potential hazards, importance of operating procedures and appropriate emergency action.Emergency Response – Open Water
Provides training where the risk assessment shows lifeguards aren’t required. However it provides staff with training and certification in basic rescue skills and life support skills to allow them to respond quickly and effectively in the event of an emergency arising.
