In 2007 we again offered and ran the RLSS Education Programme twice including Assistant Teacher and all the disciplines of Trainer Assessor. We are trying really hard to be proactive to encourage everyone who has attended to complete their mentoring period.
The Branch has introduced a bursary scheme for those successfully completing their Assistant Teacher or Trainer Assessor status if they are training as a volunteer. We hope this financial incentive will motivate everyone to complete. Applications for bursary payments should be made through Stuart Rigby our Treasurer.
We offered additional modules of open water and AED. As a 'one off' the Branch provided a bursary to assist some members of Horsham and Crawley club members to gain their Emergency Response - Activity Supervisors to enable them to supervise programmed open water activity at Southwater.
A number of TAs, Branch members and candidates have all contacted me for some technical advice which I'm always ready to provide. Contact me by telephone (07970 424669) or e mail di.cooke@o2.co.uk
